Using the original architectural character and structure as our framework we blend, push and pull spaces to fit the modern needs of each home. We strive to highlight original features - from detailed millwork, rustic stone and brick or rough cut beams - by using more organic and minimalist new elements to contrast them. We've luckily been involved in many 100+ year home renovations and have seen some things - not much surprises us now days.

03. CONCEPTUAL PLANNING

Layered design concepts to revive your home over a period of time.

There is usually a long list of questions and unknowns at the beginning of any project, through conceptual planning we explore these through discussing priorities and forecasting the next five to ten years of changing needs. Through layout sketching, models and material inspiration we study the problem and work collaboratively with the client to develop a master plan that will thoughtfully be phased out based on their financial and time capacity.

    Continuing the pivotal elements of the concept design into the finish selection - layering timeless materials and fixtures to create a warm and welcoming home.

    Assisting through the contractor pricing and developing a permit package with a team of consultants.

    Supporting and advocating for you throughout the building process and aiding the construction team to execute our thoughtful design.
