Renovation

The idea of connection was the defining goal of this project. Connecting the indoor living spaces with the backyard where the family hosts pool parties, enjoys a relaxing evening, and the kids hone their soccer and volleyball skills. Connecting a very divided first floor - through relocating the kitchen between the living room and dining room, cased opening bridged these three spaces. Connecting the formal colonial characteristics with a softer touch through materials and finishes. Through this design the spaces are able to be defined, while still creating connection for the family.
